Clean Hotel with Professional Staff!

This hotel is situated at the centre of Kohima, quite close to the war cemetry. We had booked the standard room, which was the only option available in MakeMyTrip; however, the hotel does have other rooms as well. It does not have airconditioning, which is certainly not required at Kohima in normal course. The hotel is clean and the staff is very sincere, knowledged and helpful. Our room had a balcony with a nice view of the town. The room was good for business travellers as well; it had a proper tubelight besides the normal dim yellow lights, and had a snacks tray with food items with only nominal service charge addition to MRP. The restaurant has good ambience and they prepare the food freshly as per guests’ tastes. We were quite happy with their vegetarian preparations and took packed meals from them during our local travels. The hotel does not have a lift, but the staff does brings the luggage of the guests requiring help.

Affordable, clean, comfortable and hot water! Besides being located in a very central location, being close to markets, restaurants and taxi stands; the hotel staff is very friendly, kind and helpful. They helped us arrange a reasonable valued cab for Dzukou Valley trek and also offered keep some of our luggage to help reduce our weight. Breakfast is reasonable. Definitely recommend it. Booked via makemytrip.

Unethical hotel that didn't honour my booking

I had booked via makemytrip.com about five months prior to my 3 night stay during the annual Hornbill Festival. Few days before arrival I rang to confirm my booking and was advised that it had been declined. Makemytrip.com, one of India's most reputable travel sites, still had it on record as "Confirmed" as the hotel hadn't followed the proper process declining it. They left me without any pre-booked accommodation. I ended up in a very basic homestay at a higher price. Basically, they chose to not honour my booking so they could resell the room and 3-4x the rate during the festival.

This hotel is located right in the middle of Kohima town. The market is at a walkable distance and also the famous war cemetry. We stayed in the Deluxe room which is very spacious ,well maintained and with good toiletries etc. Clean towels ,linens and room has tea/coffee maker too. There is parking space which can accommodate 2 cars ,inside the hotel premises. Food is a big let down here.Breakfast choices is quite limited and ordinary .Stick with bread butter toast 😀 Overall good value for money property

A comfortable place

Stayed at this hotel for two nights. The reception staff was very cooperative and worked swiftly to get my group checked in. They have a small parking place that could accommodate about 4 cars barely. Hotel has no elevators. The restaurant is a floor below the reception and rooms are on three floors above reception. I had got a room opposite to Kohima Cathedral. The balcony offered a grand view of Kohima at night. The restaurant offers lot of choices and none from my group had any complaints. The entire hotel staff deserves complements. Great guys.
